So, today took me away from the pencil and to the color. I found an image online that was of heart cell tissue. Using that as inspiration, I gathered up my materials and decided to paint en plen air (in the outdoors). Well, let's just say that if the wind is blowing, and you decide to step away for a quick bite, take it from me, you will want to secure your painting. As I returned, I found it on the sidewalk with grass and dirt blowing and sticking to it. Needless to say, I decided to move the studio back inside to start again. It is a learning process, right?
Below is a photo of the painting in its current state. I may work back into it some after it dries to bring out some more yellows, though, with my concept, I am not sure if it needs it. Above is the (photoshop) layered image. I hope to be able to control some lighting with my pieces to have it be translucent, and the cell image showing through the drawing, however, from viewing it from the side of the cell, there is no evidence of the drawing, combining the realism and emotion with the abstract.
The two images will them be connected with some loose stitches, again, tying together image.
