not holding my breath...in a good way.



I love it when a plan comes together!  I am pretty confident that this will all work the way I want it to!  If nothing else it is working out quite nicely in photoshop.  I painted this above image on canvas panel using water soluble oils (Winsor Newton), and kept the palette similar to the colors used in the heart cell painting.

I was recently trying to draw the rib cage (thorax) and was so reluctant.  In talking about it, I could only come to the conclusion that I have spent many of my adult years breaking down barriers, cages if you will, that I built up.  Let's face it, I am on a continual journey to break down these barriers.  I found it very liberating when painting this to essentially dissolve the rib cage into the lungs.  Perhaps that is what drew me to this image in the first place?    Why shouldn't we feel free to breath?
